Perini wins $462.8M for expansion deal at Foxwoods

" Perini Building Company Inc. announced Tuesday it was awarded a $462.8 million contract by the Mashantucket Pequots Tribal Nation for the construction of a 2 million-square-foot expansion of the Foxwoods Resort Casino in southeastern Connecticut.
Foxwoods is a 4.7 million-square-foot complex with 340,000 square feet of gaming space and 1,400 luxury hotel rooms and suites.
The expansion is designed by Paul Steelman Design Group of Las Vegas and will feature a 26-story, 825-room hotel tower and will emphasize non-gambling activities, including a 25,000-square-foot spa, 4,000-seat theater and 115,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. The new hotel will be the fourth hotel built since the resort was founded in 1986, and will bring the total number of rooms at Foxwoods Resort Casino to 2,240. "
