Pennsylvania Casino Construction Begins

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Backers of Western Pennsylvania's first temporary casino said Wednesday they will start construction today, even as gambling opponents vowed to continue their fight against legalized slots.

"Trucks will start moving dirt to prepare for the May opening of a temporary casino at The Meadows harness racing track in Washington County, said Bill Paulos, a partner in Las Vegas-based Millennium Gaming, which agreed to buy the track this summer.
