Online Poker Tour releases 2007 schedule

HOLLYWOOD, California – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Online Poker Tour announces their 2007 plans. To start the year out they have created the New Year Bash in which they are working with their sponsors to give away four trips to the Playboy Mansion and five trips to the Ultimate Poker Challenge. There are free and $1.10 buy in qualifier tournaments running almost everyday in January and February.

Last year they had eight of their players win trips to the Playboy Mansion. Two won trips to a celebrity poker tournament with the likes of Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Ried, Don Cheadle, Lakers owner Jerry Buss and more. Pro poker players such as Daniel Negreanu, Hoyt Corkins, Ted Forrest, Gavin Smith and many, many more were in attendance.

For the second party the Online Poker Tour sponsored, they purchased a VIP table for the Partying for a Purpose charity event. This was a Jungle Luau in which six members of the Online Poker Tour won free trips out to California to party at Hef's house. The trips included airfare, hotel, a VIP Pre-Party, VIP shuttle to and from the Mansion, drinks, food and VIP seating. Hef opened up the game room and the famous Grotto was open.

The final tournaments for the trips are going to be broadcast live on Rounder's Radio. This is a new online radio station that is dedicated to poker. Five live shows a week to discuss poker should be a great place to elevate your poker game. In between shows they will be playing a mix of music as well.

Some of the OPT's sponsors for these events are Vegas Poker 247, Royal Card Club, Third Bullet, CD Poker, The 3D Poker and a Mystery Room that has not been announced yet. What happens after February is still a mystery as well, they like to keep their future events hush hush.
