Everest Poker Live Qualifies 100 Players for Final Casting Call

Everest Poker www.everestpoker.com?IMID=1EO today announced that it was halfway to filling the 200 final spots in the online poker room's Live The Dream promotion. The once-in-a-lifetime event will give ten finalists the unique opportunity to become a professional poker player for an entire year.

"Live the Dream is by far Everest Poker's most unique event yet," said Everest Poker product manager Jonathan May. "The tournament goes far beyond a player's pure poker skills and will challenge their brand knowledge, blogging skills and charisma too!"

May explained this means that Live The Dream Tournament mixes Texas Holdem online poker with the unpredictable nature of reality television and the around-the-clock momentum of social networking sites. The 200 weekly direct entry tournaments finalists will be invited to Everest Poker's first-ever casting call in March, where the competition will begin in earnest. In addition to this, they'll get their share of a guaranteed $10,000 prize pool.

Before the casting call, however, the finalists will log in at http://www.everestpoker.com/video?IMID=1EO to use their humor, skills and sex appeal to prove why they should represent Everest Poker as they tour the world for a full year with tournament buy-ins worth $100,000 for each of the top 10 winners.

Live The Dream is translated into English, French, German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish and is visited daily by online poker players from around the globe. The 100 winners so far come from all across Europe. France leads the way with 43 winners followed by Germany with 22, the Netherlands with 15 and Italy with 8. Switzerland has three winners, while Denmark and Spain have two apiece. Belgium, Japan, Sweden and the United Kingdom all have one winner each.
