Blogger Poker Tour Returns

After a successful season 1 which ended when EgonOlson won his way to the WSOP Main Event, BPT Season 2 is kicking things up a notch by giving away two trips to Melbourne Australia, for the Crown Casino Aussie Millions poker championship in January 2007. There’s also assorted other prizes for the top 20 blogging poker players, taking the total prize pool to over $30,000.

The BPT champion will win a trip to play in the Aussie Millions main event as a member of the Poker.com family. The blogger judged as providing the best coverage of the BPT season will be flown to Australia to provide live blog-style coverage of the Aussie Millions main event.

Further prizes include custom Blogger Poker Tour poker tables, Poker.com iPod Nanos, Poker.com chip sets, entries into other satellite tournaments and of course $500 cold hard cash every two weeks in the regular season events.

What makes the events a tour is that each tournament is hosted by a different blog and blogger. Your blog could become the venue for a BPT tournament with a table created in the Poker.com software featuring your logo and colors. The host blogger also has a bounty placed on their head in the tournament they host, and they earn the same number of leaderboard points as the winner of the tournament.

Players receive leaderboard points for participating in tournaments and referring other bloggers, and at the end of the season the top 20 players play off in the Grand Final where the big prizes are given away.
